Résumé
This study investigates the relationship between orality and writing. This study examines the process of literacy acquisition of five and six year old children in their classroom interaction with the teacher. Data for the study come from a three month participant observation period in a private middle-class elementary school in Cuiabá, Mato Grosso.The research provides a contextualized analysis of how these children and their teacher react and interact with respect to writing. Writing fixes marks in space whereas orality is evanescent in time. Findings show that children must gradually make use of metalinguistic knowledge to learn how to write.Téléchargements
