DISTÚRBIOS ARTICULATÓRIOS: ALGUMAS REFLEXÕES

Abstract

The aim of this paper is to discuss some theoretical questions related to the specific way speech therapists approach Linguistics and other fields, i.e., Medicine and Psychology. It focuses on problems which could be raised while I was dealing with the communicative disorder labelled "articulatory disorder or phonological disabilities". I bring forth the argument that much of the blurred scenario which characterises and circumscribes tentative theoretical and methodological approaches in Speech Pathology and Therapy, related to the above mentioned phenomenon, is a result of the unfruitful speech therapists' move toward other theoretical domains.
