Abstract

Knowing to properly evaluate cognitive impairment is an important skill in training of healthcare professionals. In the undergraduate Gerontology in Latin America and Portugal, clinical assessment protocols include the necessity of using cognitive screening instruments. This study aimed, therefore, assists in education of undergraduate student from healthcare area, through the preparation of educational videos and a manual about the implementation of the most used instruments in Gerontology undergraduate courses.

Graduada em Gerontologia pela UFSCar. Mestranda em Ciências da Engenharia Ambiental pela USP. Cursando Especialização de Informática em Saúde pela UNIFESP. Trabalha nas áreas de avaliação gerontológica, ensino cognitivo, ensino de gerontologia e sociologia dos desastres.

Sofia Cristina Iost Pavarini – Graduação em Enfermagem pela UFSCar. Doutorado em Educação pela UNICAMP. É professora da Pós-Graduação em Enfermagem da UFSCar. É professora associado nível 4 do Departamento de Gerontologia da Universidade Federal de São Carlos. São Carlos (SP), Brasil.
