The aim of this article is to demonstrate the relationship between the knowledge produced for old people, the power games that come into operation to ensure a better aging process and the subjectivity of these individuals. The discursive corpus is composed by enunciations about aging in media press, and it was analyzed from Foucault's referential. One realizes the crossing of disciplinary, security and control devices in the manufacture of an elderly subject, businessman of himself.
