Abstract

Migratory processes reveal disruptions in habits, however some cultural traces, as feeding behavior, remain. Guided by semi-structured interview, it was aimed to understand the reasons of immigration of an elderly Romanian Jewish woman and identify changes in her eating habits. Changes in feeding behavior were unveiled, as well as the maintenance of some habits socially acquired, revealing the importance of learning throughout life, which applies to the nutritional scope.
