Supported by Henri Lefèbvre's regressive-progressive method, the main objective of the research here is to present the theoretical contributions of the debate on the right to the city to the perspective of aging. Taking into account that aging is a social phenomenon, it becomes necessary to investigate the particular demands of the urban elderly population In this sense, it will be discussed how such demands can be met in the construction of a fair city also for the elderly. The research points to the importance of interdisciplinary analysis for the study of the theme, considering the need to promote the debate on aging and urban space.
