Sedentary behavior in elderly population: habit against healthy aging

This narrative review aimed to present and discuss information regarding sedentary behavior and its impact on the health of the elderly. Sedentary behavior time is an important risk factor for disability, disability and increased mortality in the elderly. Exercise of 150 minutes per week of moderate-intensity physical activity compensates for the increased risk and mortality associated with high sitting time.Downloads
