Abstract

Alzheimer's disease (AD) is the most common dementia; a condition that is neurodegenerative, progressive, insidious and has no cure. Considering the great impact of AD on the lives of the affected and their families; some tests with specificity between 80-95% indicate promising results of the total and phosphorylated liquor biomarkers and Aβ42 peptide for diagnosing AD. This approach may change in the future not only in terms of diagnosis, but also in therapy.
