Use of kinesiotherapy and posterior tibial nerve electrostimulation as a treatment for urinary incontinence in women

This is a quasi-experimental study conducted with 10 women with a mean age of 52.40 ± 11.3 years, which aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of the use of kinesiotherapy and posterior tibial nerve electrostimulation in the treatment for urinary incontinence. After 12 visits of 30 minutes, in a clinic in the city of Canela, RS, there was a significant decrease in total daily voiding frequency and nocturia. In addition, a minor impact of incontinence on quality of life and emotional aspects was also observed.
