The objective was to identify the Social Representations (RS) about quarantine among Brazilian elderly women. 69 elderly women, aged between 60 and 87 years, participated in the study. Sociodemographic questionnaires, semi-structured interviews and the technique of free word association were used. The data on the SR were processed by the IRaMuTeQ software. Distinctions were found in the quarantine SR according to the income of the elderly. It is concluded that social inequalities can imply the social isolation of elderly women.
