This research, descriptive and sectional, aimed to present psychoeducational interventions in the group of professional caregivers and in their relationship with the elderly in a Day center for the elderly. The experience showed that caring can be rewarding, but professional unpreparedness or lack of support can generate physical and emotional burden for the caregiver, with an outcome for mental health. Thus, interventions with caregivers have been fundamental in sharing knowledge, raising awareness of old age phenomena, providing professional development, which sustains and promotes quality in personal and provided care. Secondarily, it generated therapeutic effects through the expression of members' emotions and emotional continence in the group field.
