Efecto de la periodización del entrenamiento resistido sobre el riesgo de cedes, capacidad funcional, fuerza muscular y medio cair de idosas de la comunidad

Las caídas son responsables de la mayoría de los accidentes con los ancianos y de la pérdida de la capacidad funcional. Este estudio tiene como objetivo analizar el efecto de la periodización del entrenamiento de resistencia sobre el riesgo de caídas y la capacidad funcional en mujeres mayores. El ECA dividió a los participantes en 3 grupos: 2 de intervención (TR) y 1 de control. El TR demostró mayor eficiencia en todos los ítems evaluados. El entrenamiento de resistencia, periodizado de forma lineal u ondulante, permitió reducir el riesgo de caídas y mejorar la capacidad funcional.
