Abstract

In the last decades, capitalism has been undergoing important transformations, among which we highlight the greater mobility and flexibility of an increasingly deregulated and financialized capital. In this context, a new space, consumed and produced by this capital in mutation, has emerged, characterized by the world’s urbanization, in which we can highlight the large dispersed and segregated metropolises. This paper aims to deal with some of the relations between the transformations in contemporary capitalism and space production, an element that is becoming more and more strategic to the reproduction of the financialized capital.
