Comprensión de las propiedades de la función cuadrática mediada por los registros algebraico y gráfico

El presente artículo analiza cómo el tránsito del registro de representación semiótica  algebraico al gráfico favorece la comprensión de las propiedades de función cuadrática en estudiantes de quinto grado de educación secundaria. Para el análisis, se consideraron algunos aspectos de la Teoría de Registros de Representación Semiótica y se utilizó la ingeniería didáctica como metodología. A partir de los resultados de los estudiantes, concluimos que el transitar por los registros de representación semiótica algebraico y gráfico, realizando las actividades cognitivas de tratamiento y conversión, favoreció el que la mayoría de estudiantes movilizaran las propiedades de la función cuadrática.

Abstract

The present article analyzes how the transit from the register of semiotic representation to the graphic one favors the understanding of the properties of quadratic function in students of the fifth grade of high school education. For the analysis, some aspects of the Theory of Registers of Semiotic Representation were considered, and the didactic engineering was used as methodology. From the students’ results, we conclude that passing through the algebraic and graphic registers of semiotic representation, doing the cognitive activities of treatment and conversion, favored most students’ mobilization of the properties of quadratic function.
