The article presents the analysis of the thematic content of texts written by group of Brazilian ecologists and reveals, through the investigation of their social representations, the forms of communication used by them and their answers to the ecological crisis. It uses the psycho-sociological approach to social representations proposed by Serge Moscovici and developed by Denise Jodelet
