Empreendedorismo Brasileiro Abstract The article analyses different perspectives of the concept of entrepreneurship suggested by the literature, including the perspective of market labor, which is based on postfordism socio-economic changes, and post-modern options for social mobilizing of social capital and embeddedness of productive activities. It shows that entrepreneurs are nowadays not only those who start a big business, but also those who set up a small business by which employment and rent are generated and those who are social agents, who act as rent redistributors and contributors to social inequality reduction. It discusses the formation of entrepreneurs and criteria of classification of activities used by GEM, by suggesting a posture that stimulates the diversity and the contribution of creative alternatives developed in Brazil. Keywords: entrepreneurship meaning, entrepreneurship education and Brazilian entrepreneurshipMetrics
