Process Management: New Management Model for Public Institutions of Higher Education

The process management arose from the need for adoption with a focus on results, performance, customers and the replacement of a hierarchical and centralized structure for flexible. In this context, this paper aims to present an overview of the process management and its adoption in higher education public institutions in Brazil. Therefore, there was literature on the subject approached from scientific articles, academic books, dissertations and theses. The result of this test demonstrates, through the cases dealt with in IPES, that the implementation of this management is a tool to make more agile and flexible IPES to fulfill its social function effectively.
