This article discusses logics of theoretical and empirical construction of research objects by critical studies in the organizational field. We analyzed papers published in the area of Critical Studies and Transformational Practices Organizations in ENANPAD considering: problematizing practices, methodological aspects, and practices investigated. The construction of the field has been guided by identification of gaps in organizational theory, its critical evaluation, and development of alternative bases, generally guided by an emancipatory bias not always clear. The notion of organizational apparatus as contingent favors poststructuralist approaches that identify elements of a hegemonic formation, resistance practices and articulations aimed at transformation.
