Analysis of Social Responsibility Actions in the Metallurgical and Mining Sectors in Brazil

The objective of this paper was to analyze the social responsibility actions of the metallurgical and mining industries in Brazil, in addition to contributions to the protection of the environment, promotion of social and community development, decent work and income conditions, and strengthening of human rights as part of the competitive strategy. The research is exploratory and descriptive, as it was developed from bibliographic and documentary research on corporate websites and sustainability reports. The results reveal a set of characteristics of social responsibility in the metallurgical and mining sectors in Brazil and the articulation of social responsibility with the competitive strategy.Metrics
