Sustainability at the Local Level from the Perspective of Collaborative Governance: The Case Study of the Intermunicipal Community ViseuI Dão Lafões

This article intends to analyze the development and applicability of Sustainability in the context of local collaboration networks, considering the Intermunicipal Community Viseu Dão Lafões (CIM Dão Lafões) as the object of study. A questionnaire was applied to workers from the municipalities that make up the CIM Dão Lafões in order to assess their perception of the impact and importance of Sustainability in terms of local public policy. The Structural Equations Model was used to analyze the results obtained therein. Interviews with workers in these municipalities have also been carried out. It was concluded that there is still a long way to go in terms of raising the awareness of workers in these municipalities with regard to the importance of the implementation of practices that enhance sustainability at the local level.
