Investimentos diretos estrangeiros e políticas de desenvolvimento

O artigo discute alternativas para a inserção internacional da economia brasileira, especialmente no que se refere ao papel dos investimentos diretos estrangeiros, da geração de valor agregado local e do desempenho das exportações, a partir do cenário da globalização e suas transformações. Na primeira parte analisa-se a competitividade dos países em desenvolvimento e, na segunda parte, discutem-se estratégias de política econômica para uma inserção internacional mais ativa na economia brasileira. Abstract The article discusses alternatives for the international insertion of Brazilian economy especially considering the role of foreign direct investments, the creation of local aggregated value and the exportations performance from the scene of the globalization and its transformations. In the first part, the competitiveness of developing countries is analyzed and in the second part, strategies of economic policy for a more active international of Brazilian economy are discussed.
