Desvendando a cultura organizacional em instituições de ensino superior.

Este trabalho teve como objetivo principal diagnosticar a cultura organizacional em um contexto acadêmico. Participaram, na condição de pesquisadas, três Instituições de Ensino Superior do mesmo grupo mantenedor. O estudo baseou-se em análise documental, num corte longitudinal, visando a conhecer os “valores” criados pelo fundador e compartilhados pelos seus seguidores. Também foram analisados os dados dos quadrantes culturais do modelo Competing Value Model de Quinn (1989) para conhecimento dos tipos de cultura, ou seja : grupal, inovativa, racional e hierárquica. As Instituições estudadas apresentaram compartilhamento de valores organizacionais. Os tipos culturais subjacentes do Fundador, ou seja, o Grupal como predominante e, o Inovativo, como emergente, foram também identificados nas demais unidades de ensino (1997). A proposta metodológica, mostrou-se adequada para o estudo da cultura organizacional nestas instituições, permitindo a elaboração de diagnóstico e intervenções organizacionais úteis. Palavras-chaves: Cultura Organizacional; Tipologia Cultural; Competing Value Model. Abstract This work had as main objective to diagnose the organizational culture in an academic context. They participated, in the condition of having researched, three Institutions of Higher education of the same group mantenedor. The study based on documental analysis, in a longitudinal cut, seeking to know the” values” created by the founder and shared by their followers. Also the data of the cultural quadrants of the model were analyzed Competing Value Model of Quinn (1989) for knowledge of the culture types, or be: grupal, inovativa, rational and hierarchical. The studied Institutions presented sharing of organizational values. The underlying cultural types of the Founder, in other words, Grupal as predominant and, Inovativo, as emerging, were also identified in the other teaching units (1997). The methodological proposal, was shown appropriate for the study of the organizational culture in these institutions, allowing the diagnosis elaboration and useful organizational interventions.
