Abstract

The God of Biblical Israel and of Jesus of Nazareth is the God of the poor, is not the god of the dominant power. There are four perspectives to answer the question: the interpretation from the Bible, from the theology, from the ministry and from the literature. The goal is to get the foundations of faith and show rationally possible arguments that give meaning to the belief in the liberating God of the poor. You cannot know God neglecting the pain of others. Therefore, to arrive at God is paramount to meet the purged the system; this is the condition of possibility to meet God. Where is the poor is also God.
