The present article wants to be a contribution of the Theology of Spirituality to today's questions about the scarcity of meaning and ephemerality of the present time, proposing the desert spirituality as a path of solitude, silence and prayer. The solitude shows us the way to let our behavior be shaped not by our compulsions but by our new mind: that of Christ. The silence keeps us from being suffocated by our world full of vain words and teaches us to speak the Word of God. Finally, the prayer gives to solitude and silence a concrete reality, a fertile soil in which a prayer capable of being carried out with the mind to the heart can flourish. Thus, we enter into the "heart of God," who embraces the whole story with his eternally creative love.Downloads
