Abstract

This article aims to show a pastoral reality view of the metropolitan area of Campinas. Like all big cities and metropolitan areas, Campinas presents a hard reality to be understood, full of contradictions, beauties and challenges. Jesus, as a historical man, sensitive and inserted in the realities of his time, answered to the needs of situations of that epoch. According to that, based on the Holy Scriptures and the Church documents, Jesus is the paradigm to fully answer the belivers in our time. In this article, for the ecllesial activity before those metropolitan realities, pastoral suggestions are ranked to enable and help the seventh Pastoral Organical Plan of our Arquidiocese. The intended pastoral work wants to focus on the poor people, allowing them to became the protagonists of the evangelization tasks, facing and changing the reality we live in our city.
