Incultured mission in the city: the Diocese of Santo André’s diocesan synod route

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to develop a brief analysis of the Diocesan Synod, orchestrated and lived by the particular Church of Santo André, at ABC Paulista, in the period 2016-2017, reflecting the meaning and importance of a Synod within a typically urban Church, its challenges and its urgencies, its inspirations and purposes; its lemma, "the missionary dream of reaching all," the salvific dream of God, who got incarnated in the human reality, inculturating itself in a certain culture.
