Pope Francis' thought contributions and mercy on fighting against human trafficking

Abstract

The research aims to find, highlight and present Pope Francis’ contributions, in the year of mercy, to a theme so painful that is human trafficking. Francisco never stopped before facts that decrease life and exploit the person. For this, the research aimed to study with the help of commentators several pronouncements of the Pope regarding Human Trafficking, a global reality. In recent years, the issue of human trafficking has also been the subject of many reflections inside and outside the Church. For the Church, the great protagonist of reflection is Pope Francis who reports the trade made with people as things to be sold, bought and exchanged. From several meetings that Francis had with groups that defend life and particularly on the occasion of his visit to Lampedusa Island in Italy it is possible to draw a profile of your thinking about this tragedy that devastates human life. Supportive researches were taken on Church bibliographies from documents of Vatican II, Catechism of the Catholic Church, as well as current bibliographies that motivate reflection.
