Abstract

This article analyses the interreligious dialogue between Judaism and Christianity, two monotheistic religions, with similar origins but separated by historical questions and some doctrinal divergences. Initially, the work stablishes the importance of dialogue between these two religions based on the works of Alberto Milkewitz, Edwin Arteaga Tobon, and Frederico Laufer. After this, this research identifies the divergent and convergent aspects between Christianity and Judaism in order to verify the viability of the dialogue. Josh McDowel’s thought and the Christian Research Institute (Instituto Cristão de Pesquisas) are basis for the analysis. As a result, the work demonstrates a brief contribution regarding to Interreligious dialogue effectuation possibility in the current Christian Church.
