IN THE HEART OF THE CITY OF SÃO PAULO KNOWING DIALOGUE THEOLOGICAL

Abstract

The scope of the Article wants to present the itinerary of the University, born in the heart of Medieval Europe, until the birth of the Faculty of Theology Of Our Lady of the Assumption, installed in the heart of the city of São Paulo, in 1949. In the heart of the city of São Paulo, on September 20, 1949, the want of the Cardinal Archbishop of São Paulo, Archbishop Carlos Carmelo de Vasconcelos Motta, was born the Faculty of Theology. Effectively installed, on March 7, 1950, in the Pontificate of Pius XII. At that moment the metropolis that was bustling and won the Church in Brazil with the new academic environment that was born was benefited. Through the city that grew with its skyscrapers, theological knowledge enabled the man of that moment to seek knowledge of the heavens. The desvairada pauliceia saw her people investigate God's presence in history, drinking from the Holy Scriptures and researching, through the Sources, the dynamism and involvement of the rapid metropolis.
