The present article deals with the theme of corporality, thought in the light of the biblical tradition and Lutheran/Protestant theology. We aim at a) pointing out the influences of Platonism in Christian thought about corporality; b) pointing out the damages caused to Christian theology, in its understanding of corporality, by its appropriation of Platonism; c) enumerating some biblical aspects which give basis to a legitimate Christian reflection about corporality; d) analyzing from the point of view of the Protestant tradition (Luther, Melancton and Bonhoeffer) how sacredness pervades the horizon of corporality. The methodology used is bibliographic research, specifically, the Protestant theological production in its approach to corporality. As a product of the research, the article defends the sacredness of corporality, therefore, a necessary care with oneself, as well as, with the other; in the mystery of the Incarnation of the λόγος, the corporality of God sacralizes human corporeality.
