Abstract

This article presents the Augustinian conception of grace from the Pelagian controversy; then, after succinct biographical contextualization of Luther and the Lutheran issues present in the Reformation, focuses on the approaches and distinctions between the Lutheran and Augustinian understanding of grace and free will, and grace and justification.
