The sources were always a valid subject for the Catholic Church, in fact, a lot of times the church has got away of the path of origins, but by the action of the Holy Spirit is always retaking the correct path after a lot of reflections about its past, present and future. But how to identify a valid source? What is a source, anyway? The history science is necessary for us to identify a reliable and true source, that way, the church incentivates exegetes to have a very deep knowledge about the best methods and approaches availables for us to identify safely on what we shall trust or not. The church is not affraid of science, but it fears preconceived opinions that makes science goes out of it boundaries.
