The social forms of religious goods. A sociology of catholic and evangelical publishing houses in Argentina

As far as the cultural goods of the catholic and evangelical world are concerned, books represent one of the most important segments of product in this field. Based on a exploratory research focused on the circuits of production and distribution of Catholic and Evangelical producers, the article explores the material culture of the respective religious universe by analyzing Evangelicaland Catholic publishing houses. The article summarizes the results both of in-depth interviews and the study of relevant documents of different institutions conducted in the context of an ongoing wider research project on religious cultural industries in Argentina.Downloads
