The Contribution of Science of Religion to the Religious Education Teacher Training

Referring to the well-known proposal of the three models of Religious Education (i.e. catechesis, theology and science of religion) this articles attempts to justify the Religion of Science as the most coherent model and fundament for the theoretical and methodological tasks associated with Religious Education. The article also discusses the contribution of Philosophy of Religion as far as the didactic transposition of the result of the scientific study of religions is concerned.
