Abstract

This article seeks to understand the joints and tensions between New Age and Catholicism, based on the thought of the neo-esoteric Trigueirinho Netto, author of dozens of books on spirituality, esotericism and ufology. Trigueirinho is founder of a rural alternative community, the Comunidade Figueira, and one of the founders of the Ordem Graça Misericórdia, created with seers friars and nuns, according to them, by request of Our Lady. The objective is to present and analyze how traditionally christian/catholic contents are re-articulated within interpretations and New Age practices, initially linked to ufology and synthesized in a new age Catholicism.
