This essay reviews the thesis of Mauricio G. Righi, entitled “The Conversion of the Beast: Apocalypse and Eschatology in René Girard”. The thesis is a “deep study in the mimetic theory, underlining its internal and gradual development towards the apocalypse, understood as a specific thought stream”. In a first topic it presents synthetically the contents of the chapters, and in a second moment it points some of its passages. A creative and provocative thesis.
