The theses and dissertations of a specific graduate program reveal their student profile. This article proposes to organize the data concerning the deposits of the theses and dissertations produced in the forty years of existence of the Graduate Program in Study of Religion (Religionswissenschaft) of the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo. Data were collected from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo library system and allowed us to understand the annual numerical progression, the impact that the public funding generated in the increase of theses and dissertations deposited and the profile of the works deposited by the students.
