The present work was carried out with the objective of explaining the relationship of the believer with the image of Santa Muerte in his day to day from the case study of a healer from Ecatepec, in the State of Mexico. The fundamental method is ethnography. The techniques used were in-depth interviews and participant observation. It is noted that the image of Santa Muerte is conceived by the believer as an active presence in almost all areas of his day to day, understood, in addition, as a giver of life, health and prosperity. Understanding the cult of Santa Muerte allows us to get closer to the idea that these devotees have about life itself and about how to live it.
