Abstract

This report aims to describe the proceedings of the 1st Seminar for the Study of Religion, an event of the Undergraduate Program in Study of Religion of the Federal University of Santa Maria, Brazil. The seminar took place on September 21-22, 2018, in São Francisco de Paula, Rio Grande do Sul. Among the speakers were professors from the Federal University of Santa Maria, Caixias do Sul University, and Pontifical Catholic University of Minas Gerais. Also participating were the coordinator of the Area of Evaluation of Study of Religion and Theology of CAPES/Ministry of Education of Brazil and the former president of the Association for the Scholars of Religion of Pará (“ACREPA,” the Portuguese  acronym).
