Study of religion at Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo: curricular delimitation of a conception

The article aims to trace the history of the program of study of religion at PUC-SP. It seeks to understand the relationship between its curricular academic structure and its theoretical conception. The article divides the forty years of the program into three periods. It concludes that the program played an important role in the constitution of the study of religion in Brazil, and in the conception of this science in the scope of other programs.
