Abstract

This paper aimed to evidence the benefits, opportunities and differences considered by Kyoto Protocol proposed for the developing countries. The Protocol analysis shows the differences related to treatment of developed and developing countries. The CDM, as a flexibility tool, favors the technologies and know-how from new enterprises transfers and stimulates sustainable development in CDM host countries. Beyond these benefits, the in development countries are allowed to get financial resources through CERs inter countries trading. If well applied, the CDM allows the in development countries to associate economic growth and technological development with the reduction of atmosphere pollution.
