Urbanização, migração e emprego: uma análise de municípios no triângulo mineiro e no sul de Minas

Abstract

This study discusses urbanization, migration, and employment at municipal level in Triângulo Mineiro and Sul de Minas (South of Minas Gerais). Firstly, it briefly discusses the origins of development process and recent urbanization in both regions. Then, there is an avaliation of migration impacts in the population growth. At last, there is an analisis of the evolution of the employment (total and sectorial distribution). The study focuses on the relation of these variables, trying to contribute to the understanding of development process in these regions.
