The originality of Francisco de Oliveira’s political economy

Abstract

The article discusses Francisco de Oliveira’s thought, emphasizing the originality of its analysis about the specificity of capitalism in Brazil, notably the articulation between the economical, social and political dimensions. It elaborates a board of references from this thought to discuss the Brazilian economics dynamics of long term and the 1930-64’s period, specially the factors responsible for periods of economic growth or recession.
