Abstract

Considering data of PNAD (National Household Sample Survey), this paper analyses 2002 income distribution among occupied people in Brazilian Center-West agriculture, a region whose agriculture register great dynamism, concomitant to high income concentration. An adjusted equation of incomes for occupied people in Center-West agriculture, based on 2002 data, allows to evaluate the relative importance of several income determinants. The results sustain previous studies on Brazilian agriculture, showing that property of assets, inherent to the fact of having land tenure, continues to be the main condition to determine income among people engaged in agriculture activities.
