Caio Prado Júnior e o desenvolvimento econômico brasileiro

Abstract

This article discusses a little-known text by Caio Prado Júnior: his dissertation presented in 1954 to the Law School at the Universidade de São Paulo. Caio Prado’s dissertation examines the main theses on the Brazilian development, particularly the ECLAC`s theses. He also seeks to establish the limits of those propositions on the Brazilian development economic that did not face the necessity of increasing the domestic market by means of the distribution of income and wealth.
