Abstract

This article intends to recover some Celso Furtado’s masterpiece studies and his innovated methodology. He reveals since the 50’s the need to elaborate an alternative project relied on the Brazilian and Latin American reality. Honorable economist, Celso Furtado proposes new alternatives to overcome the underdevelopment and also discuss the validity of the theories elaborated for the developed countries reality.
