Abstract

This essay aims at examining a few mistakes made by those who are convinced that in economy “only mathematics matters” and also by their antagonists who wish to prove the exact opposite. In this context, we shall try to question the validness of the convictions held by both sides, suggesting that the role of mathematic models, in the first place, is not to guarantee or delimit scientificity to the various domains of knowledge, especially of economics.
