Abstract

The heterogeneity of occupational characteristics and the relations between economicagents in Brazil allow therecognition of the basic profile activities from the informal sector.The aim of this article is to examine thedeterminants of inclusion in the informal labour market in Brazil’s macroregions from 2007 to 2009. The analysis will be done through thedata from PNAD. Itfollows that women, the elderly, those withless experience, among othercharacteristics, had greater participationin the informal sector.
