Editorial Policies

Focus and Scope

Research & Debate is a scientific journal published at every six months. It publishes original articles and reviews in Portuguese, Spanish and English in the field of social economy, focusing on conceptual and empirical contributions to human development, with an emphasis on public policies.

The Editorial Board of the Journal values objective articles, in plain and accessible language, which present unpublished analysis addressing solutions to contemporary social issues, with focus in Brazil.

The Editorial Committee has the right of not submitting articles out of this scope to reviewers. In this case, the Committee will notify the author when possible to submit the article to another journal.

Peer Review Process

The originals received are evaluated by at least two reviewers in the double blind review system: the anonymity of the authors and reviewers is preserved throughout the evaluation process.

 

Open Access Policy

This journal offers immediate free access to its content, according the principle that making scientific knowledge freely available to the public provides greater worldwide democratization of knowledge.

 

Archiving

This journal uses the LOCKSS system to create a filing system to be shared among participating libraries and allows them to create permanent journal archives for preservation and restoration. Read about it.
