A servidnao voluntária revisitada: a política radical e o problema da auto-dominação

Resumo

O artigo investiga o problema da servidão voluntária e explora suas implicações na atual teoria política radical, assumindo que o desejo pela própria dominação mostrou-se um significativo obstáculo para os projetos revolucionários de libertação humana. O foco são os projetos micropolítico e ético que questionam o vínculo da subjetividade com o poder e a autoridade — projetos elaborados por pensadores tão diversos quanto Max Stirner, Gustav Landauer e Michel Foucault. A questão da servidão voluntária traz à tona uma tradição de contra-soberania na política interessada não na legitimidade do poder político, mas nas possibilidades de novas práticas de liberdade.

Abstract

This paper investigates the problem of voluntary servitude and explores its implications for radical political theory today, assuming that the desire for one’s own domination has proved a major hindrance to revolutionary projects of human liberation. Central here are micropolitical and ethical projects of interrogating one’s own subjective attachment to power and authority — projects elaborated by thinkers as diverse as Max Stirner, Gustav Landauer and Michel Foucault. The question of voluntary servitude brings to the surface a counter-sovereign tradition in politics in which the central concern is not the legitimacy of political power, but rather the possibilities for new practices of freedom.
